The Aswan Dam, or more specifically since the 1960s, the Aswan High Dam, is the world’s largest embankment dam built across the Nile in Aswan, Egypt

Its creation was ordered by Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC), possibly to complement what would later be known as the Lateran Obelisk (which was originally at Karnak, and was later brought to the Lateran ).

Situated on the ancient site of Thebes,
the Valley of the Kings is the ancient burial ground
of many of Egypt’s New Kingdom rulers.

Hatshepsut temple is a reflection of the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II
And was constructed alongside that 11th dynasty structure.

The twin statues depict Amenhotep III (fl. 14th century BC) in a seated position.

The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak
(/ˈkɑːr.næk/ from Arabic Khurnak meaning “fortified village”),
comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons,
and other buildings near Luxor.

This was a great experience. The communication from the company was excellent throughout. Our guides were always knowledgeable, and it made the experience much better having a private guide or being in small groups.

The highlight of our trip to Egypt was the truly excellent, professional, and first-class service we received from our guide (and now, friend) Ebtesam. is a true expert on ancient Egyptian history and culture. He also was a fantastic person to navigate us around the hectic cities and sites along the Nile. I cannot imagine our trip without Ebtesam He was everything–and more–that we hoped our guide would be for this once in a lifetime trip. THANK YOU, Ebtesam. Looking forward to seeing you again one day–either back in Egypt or the USA! Best wishes,

Excellent idea! Unique experience thanks to the help of Ebtesam and her guidance. She made a BIG difference and it would have not been the same without her. The cruise offered amazing accommodations and food. They all made trips our relatively short trip to Egypt perfect. We visited every single temple with our amazing tour guide who knew every single detail and genuinely wanted us to learn. Great experience!
