Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor and was constructed approximately 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language it was known as ipet resyt, “the southern sanctuary”.

Itinerary

Day 1Karnak &Luxor temple

Our tour guide will meet you at your Luxor Hotel,to be transferred by a car to your 5 stars Nile Cruise to check in before lunch. Have lunch on board. Then, start your tour by visiting the largest temple ever; Karnak Temple built through 2000 years, covering an area of about 63 acres.

Proceed to visit Luxor Temple, where ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features are exhibited. Admire its obelisk and statues. Back to the cruise. Dinner on board. Overnight in Luxor

Day 2Valley of the Kings/Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari/Colossi of Memnon

Breakfast and start your remarkable day by driving to the West Bank to explore the Theban Necropolis by visiting the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs from the New kingdom carved their tombs in the mountains aiming to hide their treasure and protect their mummies.

Then, to the Mortuary temple of the famous queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. Listen to her interesting story and know how she managed to rule the country for 22 years as a pharaoh.

End your tour in the West Bank by a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon, once decorated the biggest funeral temple in Luxor built by king Amonhotep III from the 18th.dynasty. Return back to the Cruise by noon to have

Day3Edfu Temple & Kom Ombo Temple,Aswan

After your breakfast, enjoy Horse Carriage ride with your tour guide to visit the temple of Horus at Edfu which is considered to be the most complete & the best preserved of all the Egyptian temples. Back to the cruise. Relax on the deck watching the unique landscape and admire the scenery of the Nile river while sailing to Kom Ombo. Lunch on board. Afternoon tea on the sundeck.

Late in the afternoon,the cruise will arrive at kom Ombo double temple, dedicated to Sobek(the crocodile God) and Horus(the Falcon God). Have dinner followed by folkloric party operated by the cruise staff and tour guides. Continue sailing to Aswan for overnight.

Day4Aswan High Dam/Temple of Philae

After breakfast, Check out with your luggage and discover with your guide the highlights of Aswan and listen to the story of the Nubian immigration. Start your tour by visiting the High Dam; achieved in 1960 to protect Egypt from the flood and generate electric.

Proceed to visit the Graeco Roman Temple dedicated to goddess Isis using a small motorboat to get there. Drive in comfort for airport, railway station or hotel in Aswan.
